MacArthur on the greatness of God, drawn from the lives of prophets, kings and faithful men, and above all from Christ. Read more.
Our Awesome God sets out the greatness of God as Scripture displays it, working through the accounts of prophets, kings and faithful men of earlier ages and then through the person of Jesus Christ. John MacArthur moves from what these accounts reveal of God's character, His power, holiness, faithfulness and mercy, to the practical bearing such a God has on the believer's worship, obedience and confidence.
At 176 pages the book is accessible rather than technical, and it suits believers whose view of God has shrunk to something manageable. It works well for devotional reading and for small groups, and functions as a gentler entry into MacArthur's writing than his more polemical titles.
