Seven preachers - Dever, Duncan, Mohler, Mahaney, MacArthur, Piper and Sproul - on the centrality of gospel proclamation. From Together for the Gospel. Read more.
Proclaiming the gospel is without doubt the most important task of pastoral ministry, and yet other, seemingly more urgent activities routinely obscure it. From time to time every pastor and preacher needs to be reminded what the work actually is, and this volume gathers seven men to do the reminding.
The contributors are Mark Dever, J. Ligon Duncan, Albert Mohler, C. J. Mahaney, John MacArthur, John Piper and R. C. Sproul, and the chapters come out of the Together for the Gospel conference, which means they began as addresses to a room full of pastors. The range of voices is the point: men from differing traditions making the same case about what belongs at the center of preaching.
