Charles Lee Feinberg's chapter-by-chapter commentary on Ezekiel - detailed and technical, while keeping the majesty of the prophet's vision in view. Read more.
Charles Lee Feinberg illumines the often-neglected prophecy of Ezekiel in a detailed, technical, chapter-by-chapter commentary that nonetheless preserves the majesty of the prophet's vision: the holiness, the glory and the sovereignty of God. He works through the great set pieces - the vision of the chariot-throne, the departure and return of the glory, the valley of dry bones, and the temple of the closing chapters - without flinching from the difficulties.
Feinberg was a Hebrew scholar and dean of Talbot Theological Seminary, and he read Ezekiel as a dispensational premillennialist, which shapes his handling of the closing temple vision in particular and is worth knowing in advance. Within that framework the exegetical work is careful and the book remains among the most useful volumes for a preacher working through Ezekiel. Reprinted by Wipf & Stock.
