The Jesus Storybook Bible retells the Scriptures for children with one controlling conviction, that every story whispers His name. Sally Lloyd-Jones works from creation through the prophets to the Gospels and on to the church, showing at each point how the account anticipates or reveals Christ, so that children receive the Bible as a single story about a rescuing God rather than a set of moral tales. This is the read-aloud edition.

Parents and grandparents return to this one because it does what most children's Bibles do not: it preaches the gospel rather than supplying heroes to imitate. It suits family worship, bedtime reading and Sunday school, and adults frequently report being moved by it themselves. A common gift for baptisms, dedications and birthdays.
