Clear, understandable and carefully organized: Basics of Biblical Hebrew Grammar by Gary D. Pratico and Miles V. Van Pelt is the standard textbook in colleges and seminaries, and since its first publication in 2001 its integrated approach has taken more than eighty thousand students through the language.

The third edition is a significant revision and updating of the previous one, with the aim of giving students a clearer path from the alphabet to reading the Hebrew Bible. A workbook and supporting resources are published alongside it, and the grammar assumes a classroom but can be worked through with discipline alone.
