Passages from more than two hundred classic Christian writers, arranged across thirty topical sections covering the major subjects of pastoral theology. Four volumes. Read more.
A pastor facing a particular situation rarely has time to search the fathers for what they said about it, which is the problem this set solves. Thomas C. Oden arranges passages from classic Christian writings topically, by the question a pastor actually has.
Writings from more than two hundred notable Christian authors - from Abelard and Ambrose to Isaac Watts and Zwingli - are set out across thirty topical sections covering all the major subjects of pastoral theology. The four volumes are also available individually. A reference set for a pastor's study rather than a book to read through.
