How a biblical author says something is just as important as what he says. Designed for the pastor and Bible teacher, this series analyzes the discourse of each Old Testament book and shows how the main thrust of every passage contributes to the development of the whole composition in the original Hebrew.
For each passage Joel Barker gives the main idea, its literary context, his own translation, an exegetical outline with Hebrew layout, the structure and literary form, an explanation of the text, and its canonical and practical significance. A basic knowledge of Hebrew helps, but Hebrew words are always explained, so a preacher without much of the language can still use it.
